Maybe the liberal leaders are right

My Grandmother loves the  Biltmore Estate in Asheville N.C.

She had never seen it at Christmas time, so Saturday we took her there to see it with the decorations up.

Mind you... I have a great dislike of crowds, and I rarely go out into the public any more than I have to, but what I saw this weekend made me wonder if the leftists are right. The leftists, not their useful idiots.

The people I saw... didn't even look like they were smart enough to clothe themselves. They apparently just showed up in whatever they passed out in the night before. They had no understanding of the art and literature, or any of the references to art and literature, or common courtesy for that matter, presented at the estate. They had no idea how... or even what... to eat. Some of them obviously had no idea they were even IN public and did things such as floss their teeth in the restaurant at their table. FLOCKS of them would try to throw themselves under my car every time I attempted to back into a parking space as if they were lemmings.

It was like taking a tour with a herd of cattle, except the cattle would have been better mannered... and presumably more interesting in conversation.

I'm afraid I might be turning into a liberal.

I believe hardly any of these people could have been trusted with planning their next trip to the restroom.

They sure as hell can't be trusted with planning their retirement or insurance or healthcare. There is a need to ban transfats. These people would eat poison straight from the box if you let them.

It is no wonder we can't explain the war in Iraq to them. The best you can do is point and tell them "Saddam bad". Then all the leftists have to do is point at us and tell them "America bad". That alone is way too much information for them to process effectively.

It is sure that the vast majority of these so-called "people" should be wards of the state, and that high taxes for the productive among us is certainly nothing but noblesse oblige, only unfortunately without the privileges of rank. It is unfortunate in that it looks as though their only means of existence is if we give them enough to keep them docile, and use them kindly... keeping them fed and cared for rather like oxen or some other beast of burden.

Sadly, the lefts argument that the great majority are just too stupid to care for themselves looks to be true.

I may have to change my voter registration to democrat

The Democrats didn't win

I have been pretty busy today calling my Congress critters and writing letters. I am both happy it worked out this way, and sorry to see it happen.

However, I wanted to point a few things out from the far right philosophical "conservative" perspective, and ask a favor from the die hard Republicans that are still mad at us.

First, the Democrats didn't win. Remember that. RINOs were thrown out. There is a big difference. Believe that.

This is not the end of the world. The Republicans have accomplished nothing of substance and they held the House, Senate, and the White house. What can the Democrats do? With the RINOs that were thrown out gone, and replaced with conservative Democrats, the leftists are even weaker now than they were before.

All we have done for the most part is replace RINOs with conservative Democrats. We are better off for it, and the Democrats are better off for it. It will help take control of the Democrats from the moonbat leftists and put it back into the hands of more rational people.

A few of the losses were to conservatives, that intentionally abused the conservative movement. Santorum is a case in point. Him, and people like him, can still come back later if they are repentant.

This is also going to cull a lot of the Republican's weak leadership.

In addition, the Media has been right about a few things. This was a referendum on Iraq... just not in the way the media has been portraying it. This was a slap against the weak prosecution of the war in Iraq.

A vast majority of conservative ballot initiatives have passed. This needs to be expanded to the next election. We can no longer trust our leaders in Washington to fight for conservatism. This also proves the American people are far more conservative than the leadership we are being saddled with.

All in all, it could be a lot worse. At least this didn't happen two years from now.

However, now my favor request.

Republicans, I know you are mad at us for doing this. However, it is done. Please write and call your Congressmen and explain to them what happened. Don't let them believe the MSM. And explain to them that if they don't wish to see this again in two years they have to become a conservative party again.

I am sorry for your loss.
